Month 2 so far was the most tiring period so far.
WaterI need more water.... I felt thirsty, I had dry lips, drier skin than normal, darker hue of urine in the morning - indicating I still don't drink enough water!
Energy levelLow... I look and feel very tired and sleepy all the time. When I get back from work, I basically at the lowest energy level for the day. I just want to sleep.
SicknessWell, during the Chinese New Year, I had fever and flu. It took me almost 2 weeks to recover. I even stopped drinking milk because of the phlegm. Went to the doctor and we asked whether it is safe to take the medication.
Doctor: I have written it here, right? You are pregnant and of course the medication I prescribe to you is absolutely safe to be taken!
Me: Thank you, Doctor.
FS: Sure ah, Doctor, it's fine?
Doctor: Haiyo... Of course it's fine. I have written it in the card. This is your first child is it?
FS: Yes.
Doctor: No wonder lah.... Anyway, good luck..
Outside Doctor's office:
Me: Ha ha ha.. get scolding from Doctor.. Lagi mau tanya..
FS: Of course la, must ask....
Nausea and vommitObviously nasi lemak didn't go well with me during this period. I have been dreaming of nasi lemak and yearning to eat it. On 2 occasions, I vomitted it out.
My first vomitting experience was when I smell the aroma of fried onion. My brother was cooking dinner and I took evening nap after work. Whoa.. I felt the content of my stomach is about to flush out and I felt nauseous. I ran to the toilet and all the content of my stomach landed in the toilet bowl and flushed....
Tip from my mum, don't drink water while having food. Drink 30 minutes after eating.
Vommitting - as gross as it may be, it was actually quite easy. The signs are like this. I felt that my stomach is having a typhoon inside. Felt bloated, then the nauseous feeling and the face expression is one kind only... This is the best time to quickly run to the toilet. Bend my body towards the toilet bowl, open my mouth and YIKES... all the vommit just help itself to freeflow from my stomach and out of my mouth into the toilet bowl. Yea.. it's gross. But the after effect, my stomach felt calmer and I am hungry again.
Food CravingCraved for Ramli Burger - ate Burger Ayam Special - with egg...
Craved for Roti Canai - Kosong. It was evening and I drove the whole housing area hunting for this Roti Canai. I was relieved I found the Roti Canai. That was on 26 Feb evening. Since then, I have not vomitted anything (fingers crossed!)
Telling My 4 y.o. Nephew why he can't be rough around me for the next few monthsI was lying on the bed, down with fever and flu. Feeling tired and blue. Suddenly my nephew leaped from the floor onto the bed. Good thing he didn't land on my tummy. My mother-in-law saw him and I was also just opening my eyes during that action hero moment. Then, he got scolding from his po-po. I said to myself, allright, I need to tell him so that he understand why he can't play Ultraman with me for this time being.
I bought this book about pregnancy and it shows the progress of a pregnancy weekly. This nephew of mine likes books especially those with pictures and photos. So the task is quite easy. I called him to join me to read this new book that I have. Well, Auntie Nini is now having a baby in the womb (I must use the correct term). So today, the embryo looks like this. Everyday, it will grow until it become a baby that is ready to come out to see the world. Last time, when you were in your mama's womb, you also look like this. His response; he looked amazed and said wah... Then I said, OK... that's all for today. Then he went off to play Ultraman elsewhere. Later in the afternoon, he asked me again, "Where is the baby now?" I put his hands to my tummy and guess what, he rubbed my tummy and said, "Sayang, baby..." Such a sweet boy. At least now he understands why he will get scolding if he's playing roughly around me.
Looking forward to more adventure in Month 3
